Community Lunches

In 2008 we will continue our programme of Community Lunches, one in each of the five community areas in North Wiltshire, and our intention is to have presentations from each of the existing Community Area Partnerships, in addition to a speaker from a local voluntary group.

This will provide you with an opportunity to find out how the existing partnerships work, what they do and what’s in the current local plans, with an eye to the future and how you might have your say with the proposed Community Area Boards. There will also be plenty of time for networking.

In the past we have tended to hold our lunches in the five market towns. In 2008 we plan to get out into the surrounding villages and make use of some of the excellent village halls that exist in North Wiltshire. Village Halls are often more accessible than town centre venues in terms of free parking and disabled facilities. For those without private transport, if you contact us in good time we will make transport arrangements through local link schemes, or CVS staff.
