New Hypnotherapist at the Wellbeing Centre

Hilary Norris-Evans has been  working at The Well Being Centre in Chippenham since Friday 21 September. She works as a hypnotherapist, hypno healer, NLP practitioner, stress manager and coach. For those of you who don’t know much about hypnotherapy, it is a safe, effective therapy with no negative side effects and uses the positive power of your subconscious mind to help you make the changes you want in your life.. Hypnosis itself is an altered state of consciousness, a state of deep relaxation but often with heightened awareness. In hypnosis you are not asleep nor in a coma nor unconscious and the hypnotherapist can only give you the suggestions you want to accept. You are actually in a state of hypnosis every night just before you fall off to sleep and just after you awaken in the morning. We are in a light hypnotic trance when we are so focused or concentrated that we don’t notice time passing and we often drive along a familiar road in a light hypnotic trance... Socially Excluded Groups and Headway

Ali Bazely is the Regional Co-ordinator in the South West for the Charity Headway, which supports people with an acquired brain injury, their families and carers. There is a Headway Group in every county in the region, all autonomous and affiliated to the national umbrella organisation Headway the Brain Injury Association. They all provide day care services for survivors offering rehabilitation, advice and support. In addition to this they also offer support respite and support services for Carers and families. We are very conscious of the fact that there are a lot of people who are not aware of our services - socially excluded groups and BME groups in particular do not appear to be accessing our services in many parts of the region. Anyone can suffer from an acquired brain injury (ABI) and we very much want to support as many people as we can within the South West from every group and background who is a survivor and their families too. If you are interested in finding out more about Headway please download this leaflet with contact details for Ali.
