Life Saving Training for Young People

Wiltshire St John Ambulance has launched a new course – Young first aider – for 7 to 16 year olds to learn first aid in schools and youth organisations. The Young first aider package contains everything needed to start training young people straight away including film clips, lesson plans, worksheets and certificates for all who take part.  It is flexible, suitable for all abilities and timescales and makes learning first aid fun. As everyone knows, First aid can save lives and, like adults, young people can and should learn these skills. On Thursday 15th November there will be a short informal session for voluntary and youth organisations where St John will explain what Young first aider is about and how it can be used by youth organisations.  This will give everyone the opportunity to explore all the elements of the course for themselves and ask any questions they might have. The session will be held from 7-8pm at Wiltshire St John Ambulance’s County Headquarters, Beacon Business Park, Hopton Estate, Devizes SN10 2EY.  If you would like to attend this introductory session, or would like any further information please contact Gilly Boote on 01380 728362.
