The future configuration of the NHS in Avon, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire
The Strategic Health Authority Board met today (05/04/06) and agreed its view on the future shape and size of Primary Care Trusts and the Strategic Health Authority in Avon, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. This view came after a three month consultation period where well over 1,000 key stakeholders, staff and the public had their say on the future structure of the local NHS.Click here to view the report

Taxi Firm to give Donations to Local Voluntary & Community Groups
Taxi firm Home James wants to give an £82,500 thank you to Chippenham charities and groups. A meeting is being held in the Neeld Hall in Borough Parade, at 7pm on Wednesday 12th April. The cash will be allocated on a voting basis so if ten people out of 100 vote for one cause, ten percent of the money will be rewarded to that cause.

Voluntary Sector Forum
The next Voluntary Sector Forum is on the 9th May at Corsham Community Centre, 12 - 2pm (lunch provided). There will be discussion about ChangeUp and the Wiltshire & Swindon Forum, also a chance to hear from the PCT about the Pathways for Change consultation. NWDC - Statement of Community Involvement
The
Statement of Community Involvement is a set of standards that we
will follow to involve local communities in the preparation of
the Council’s planning documents and decisions on planning
applications. We will;
• make sure that the community is involved at the earliest
opportunity;
• ensure all sections of the community are given the chance to
be involved and make their opinions known;
• provide feedback to the community on how their views have been
taken into account in taking decisions; and
• use different ways to involve people to suit their needs.
