Quality Assurance Systems for the Voluntary Sector

Why Use a System?
Whilst the development of your organisation should be the key reason for implementing and for using a quality assurance system, current research shows that funders are increasingly requiring organisations they fund to implement such systems.

CVS can help your organisation select and implement an appropriate quality assurance system.

PQASSO
PQASSO
is a practical quality assurance system for small organisations, or for projects within larger organisations.
It's a low-cost, straightforward quality system, written in plain English and designed specifically for voluntary sector organisations.

PQASSO provides a flexible, step-by-step approach to working out what your organisation is doing well and what could be improved. By using the self-assessment work pack, the system helps you to set priorities and improve your organisation's performance.

Quality First
Similar to PQASSO, Quality First was written by the author of PQASSO in partnership with Birmingham Voluntary Service Council. It is aimed at small organizations which are run solely by volunteers, although it can be used by organizations with one or two members of paid staff. It is often a good starting point for organizations who are unfamiliar with quality assurance systems
